The Real Barefoot and Pregnant || Port Douglas Maternity Photo Session

Updated: Nov 24, 2018

6 months ago I was living in the beauty and magic of tropical North Queensland. I had been aching to do some creative shoots amongst nature and get away from the Port Douglas Wedding scene for a little change. One day I received a call from the wonderful staff at Daintree Eco Lodge and Spa who informed me that two of their guests were looking for a photographer to do some maternity photos for them at the resort. I jumped right on board and once I spoke to these two on the phone I knew it was going to be a session to remember.

Kristy and Brian live in their caravan in Darwin and are absolute gypsy rockstars. They have such a zest for life, positivity and enthusiasm. Creatively, we totally hit it off and the radiant Kristy was up for anything (including stripping it all off for some down to earth, forest nymph style shots). I had so much fun on this session, not to mention I was so inspired by the two of them and their glowing positivity. Thanks to the Natural Parent Magazine who later featured some of these images in their Spring 2017 issue.

Congratulations on the new life of Iyah-Rose
